I've been keeping my eye on this storage system for some time and saw this deal then I searched on Amazon and saw a generic one made out of wood for around the same price and then I thought to myself "I own all these ryobi tools... this would be simple as hell to just build my own." Even with lumber still a tad high,it would still be way cheaper to build my own the way I want it. Thanks for shaking some sense into me!

Thinking about getting this and putting it on my French cleats. Any thoughts on utilizing the space inside for the 6 port battery charger and battery storage?
I actually side mounted my six port charger on the "peg board" style circles on the sides. Works well and leaves the insides open for all the tools and/or other storage needs

It's worth a lot but this really looks easy. Not really any moving parts. I bet I could do a decent one in an hour.
It will take me one hour just to shop for the peg board, wood, and lock hardware. If your design has no moving part, then it is not like this one. Perhaps you are thinking about the no door shelf version which is a different model. This cost less than one hour of my hourly rate.
It has been long OOS online before I posted this one. If you are lucky and live among the 6 stores that have it in stock, you may pick it up in store. Two are in Florida, one each in Georgia, Missouri, California, and Tennessee.
I have both this and the one without the door mounted side by side. Nicely organized. Honestly the door does nothing for me and leave it open which it goes up and slides in like a shelf and leaves a bigger storage area where I leave my circular saw and some other stuff.
Slots also hold a D cell size MAG flashlight perfectly.
I was going to make it a Dewalt version but haven't found an appropriate Dewalt yellow looking spray paint yet.
Glad to hear your view. Debated but picked up the one with a shelf instead of a door at the store in Branson today. I think the shelf will be more useful than the door.
Get a kick out of people buying a factory blemished product and then complaining that it has a blemish.
That is true, but we have been spoiled as most people got the factory blemished items from DTO as brand new unopen box. I have 5-6 "blemished" tools from them. Only one of them has the box not sealed well all items were new.
Batteries have temp ranges for storage. Make sure you are inside those.
That has been one of my concerns. My garage has ranged from 32 to 100 degrees F during last year. Is it OK to store batteries there? For that matter is it OK to even store tools there? I definitely don't charge batteries there. I have moved charging station inside.

How much is your time worth?
This picture looks very similar to mine. Just a suggestion to anybody who needs something without a Ryobi logo.
