I was just looking at this yesterday at Targets website for $250, and almost ordered it. For $200 I couldn't not order one. Thanks OP!

I guess this panel is a love it or hate it. For gaming I think it should be alright. Should complement my g34wqc well.
Not at all. It's a budget monitor, and it looks just like some of my other budget monitors.

Not sure why monoprice decided to go back to VA panels... sucks... they should just stick with ips. Also they need to bring back the 32in 4K IPS monitor.
Some like the 3x better contrast of VA, and are willing to give up 2% decrease in color accuracy. Depends how you use your monitor. I consume a lot of media content and can't stand playing video games where I can't see details in dark areas.

I can't stand the color difference of VA viewing things outside of the center!

I'm not gonna lie, everything about this monitor looks cheap. The charger, outlets in the monitor. Looks like these were built with scraps.
WHO THE HELL CARES ABOUT THE TWO THINGS YOU LISTED?

The resolution. The display frequency, you see everyday. When was the last time you had to unplug the monitor power to deal with the charger or mess with any of the outlets? JFC I haven't touched the ports on the monitor since I hooked it up, years ago. If I can save $50-100 for them to not jazz up the two things you just mentioned I could care less.

I would've been quick to write you off just as some others in this thread, but I just received the 27" that was on sale for 150$ by MP a couple days ago and even after testing multiple power cords, the power outlet connection is loose and the monitor shuts off when the cable moves and sometimes just straight up randomly.
All my LG monitors use basically the same barrel connector. You got a defect just contact the warranty and get a replacement.

Sounds like a defective unit otherwise a hot glue gun might fix that.
