Yes, this is a decent soundbar but "struggles to reproduce a deep low-bass, so you don't feel the deep thump and rumble in bass-heavy music like EDM or action-packed movie scenes." -Rtings

Can anyone please recommend a sound bar better than this that doesn't break the bank? 3.1 and a good subwoofer is preferred.
I doubt you will find one for this price that will beat it...I have a samsung 2.1 sound bar and a vizio and the samsung sounds better...Plus walmart has easy returns so if you dont like it just return it

Weird that they would say that, because it comes with a subwoofer that's pretty decent. I've been using this exact set for a couple months now and it's light years better than the built-in TV speakers. The biggest issue is that it's limited in sound formats that it supports. It will do DTS, and if you buy two rear channel satellites it can do Dolby 5.1, but that's it. It won't do Atmos at all.
That being said, it's still a nice upgrade over built-in speakers at a decent price.
I bought the HW-T650, which I believe to be a kissing cousin to this one, and I've been really pleased with it in our small, open living room arrangement. It will get loud and performs quite well for our non-atmos-must-have household.
