These Gearwrench are made in Taiwan.
Those Craftsman are made in China.
I am a Machinist for Apex Tool group (the manufacturer). I'm stateside so I make high end production tools, but we have a lot of gearwrench stuff in our shop and we all end up with the whole range from the employee store. They hold up well, even as tools for work. I've never felt inclined to source something "higher quality" except I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to screwdrivers (I get German or Japanese screwdrivers). These are good tools at a good price.

Nice set without the extras - would be a great set for someone that wants to wrench on their own car or someone that doesn't cringe at "assembly required"

Gearwrench wrenches are awesome, their sockets are just standard. Imo for sockets, I'd stick with an easily replaceable lifetime warranty house brand from lowes or HD.

I think where they nailed it is the entire set has all 6 point sockets. I worked as a mechanic and always prefered 6 point sockets over 12 point.

Great deal! I bought a complete 3/8 set a few years ago for the same price. These ratchet are 90 tooth, not there 120 tooth ones, but still pretty good! Mine was 72 tooth.

I love my Gearwrench stuff...would get these if I wanted a decent set. Sadly I have like 5 different sets already...I prob should have saved and just bought Snap-on lol. But seriously, I inspected a set my brother bought and these seemed way better than the Husky or Kobalt tools in the big box stores.

GearWrench quality is OK at best. The good thing about this set is that the sockets are all 6 point from what I can tell.

Yeah that's the only downside of GW, unless you're able to warranty it at HD then it's a no brainer
