For those who may ask, these are not rated Ultra High Speed. So not good for 4K @ 120 fps gaming (I.e Xbox Series X/PS5).

Ah yes, Monster: the king of the most absurd cable prices you've ever seen.

These aren't the Monster cables from over 10 years ago. Now they're a name slapped on to a box. I remember buying them from Best Buy using my friend's employee discounts. Those were the days.

Still, at $3 per cable, it's a good deal.

Thanks OP. Got 2 blue and 3 red since it's now a good time to replace all my 1.2 cables. Rang up $3 each for both red and blue as posted. At my local Walmart, as others have posted, they were shelved with all other clearance items in the electronics section (look for pile that seems to be tossed in a random manner close to the electronics section checkout) and not at the usual HDMI cable section.

In the case of HDMI cables, it doesnt really matter who makes them since its a digital signal. Monster relies on consumer misinformation to make you believe a more expensive cable will make the picture look differently. Back when cables were analog and quality mattered, with composite, svideo, component etc you might have gotten a slight boost in picture quality buying Monster compared to the rock bottom brands.

I know. I still prefer buying a higher build quality cable in terms of build and don't mind spending $20-$30 for each but I definitely don't buy into the whole image or sound quality improving over digital connects. I will spend the money (up to a reasonable amount) for analog connects. Monoprice's Monolith Series is great for that.

Can anyone comment on how bright the LEDS are in these? Trying to avoid lighting up the tv/input area at night but if it's just a mild glow that's fine.

Have mine in my receiver in an open entertainment center shelf and don't see a reflection with my green one. Picked up a blue and red one for other things. I just picked up an Apple TV 4K first gen for $80 and a few cables were having problems with Dolby vision but this worked like a charm

My local STILL says the red are in stock. When I went earlier today BS said both colors were in. I couldn't find either -- and I usually have good luck with BS there. I checked the clearance section and the cables section. It's possible they were somewhere else.

However, I found roundup super concentrate for $2 and a few other handy doodads and thingamadoodles, all 75-90% off. So the goose chase was inaccurate but still worth it. So thanks, OP.

Most so called old hdmi cables do 4k, blah blah blah, just fine unless they are garbage. Mine are perfectly fine, full soeed and resolutions.

Got a blue and a red. They had tons of them. Also grabbed a 42mm Apple Watch Sport band for $5 and an iPhone SE Leather Case for $11. The silicone cases were $8.

Monster is whatever....blah, blah, blah.....But, it's cheaper than some generic junk on Amazon, and I figure it's got to be at least the same quality.

They were on a random endcap in the electronics section at my store, if that helps you or anyone else in their hunt.

Thanks. I figure that it's probably something like that -- my store has a few dedicated clearance sections and then also random ones that pop up from time to time. I was on lunch break and so didn't have too much time to dedicate to the hunt. TBH, I have no use for them ATM. It was one of those "just in case" things.

Not really correct. I tried an old 4k cable and it was able to do 30hz only at 4k. No HDR. Try to use an old 1.4 cable at do 4k 60hz with HDR and it wont let you.
