If it's not allowed, it's not enforced. Pre-deals are posted and upvoted every day. They are useful too because pre-posting can help people plan out purchases. There's a reason Black Friday ads are so popular. It gives time for people to figure out a plan (if any) for the day. Pre-posting cuts down on impulse buys.

I think I got Aven Colony from some random cheap game bundle. I really hope that it's not the next game since it wasn't very good.
