I don't recommend the rubber float that has a metal plate on top. It'll scratch your hard work. You can be careful but don't rely on careful.

Shop around for a full rubber float.

Just looking at this is making my back hurt lol.

I'm pretty handy but flooring is the one thing ill just pay to get done. I tiled a rental unit with my dad that was about 1400 sqft and that was enough for me to know i never want to do that again lol.

Good deal on the tools though.

Search the "tile coach" on YouTube. If you're using 12x24 above then use the 1/2 notch.

If you're thinking of DIY, I recommend you search for the channel above, as well as Sal DiBlasi and Landberg Tile TV, all on youtube.

Assuming you have an HD store nearby, the best thing to do, when in doubt, is to order and return if you don't need it. Last time around, I ordered quite a few of these, and for the price, you can't beat the quality The most practical tool was a bucket scoop, for thinset, mortar, etc.; think I picked up 2 or 3. If you have a Floor and Decor nearby, they generally have decent quality tile tools for great prices as well.
