Slicker deal...eat the peel, it's good for you.
Looks like the junk that techmoan reviewed a while back. It's not any easier than peeling it the regular way so save your money.

Q&A says it comes with a 6v transformer that plugs into any 110/120v wall outlet, or uses the not included (2) AA batteries that slows the machine down. The two extra included blades are also a plus. Maybe someone makes a taller unit, but the maximum 5 1/2" size means one will be cutting a lot of vegetables like cucumber, zucchini, etc. into smaller pieces.

Still on the fence for gifts, the reviews and videos are mostly good with most agreeing it is a cheap build that matches the price, but also works.

Edit.... 2 AA are 3v total, so it makes sense the included 6v adapter performs a lot better.

Dan Formosa reviewed one that looked just like this, but different name stamped onto it. He gave it a 4 out of 5, which is pretty good.

Yes, he was running it off two 1.5v batteries instead of the 110v to 6v adapter. Then again, maybe being British, he did not have an adapter for the 220v wall outlet to use the 6v adapter.

Just received and yea, use the adapter that spins it faster. For just a couple of potatoes, by hand is just as quick with the setup and cleanup. But, if doing a quantity of potatoes, apples, etc., this little tool is a lot faster and arguably safer. It is just as fast as the hand crank horizontal models I grew up with, while allowing you to do other tasks.

Was playing with it and not sure about longevity, but if peeling any quantity, the $15 is well spent... and even a bit entertaining that will attract plenty of volunteers.

He was running it off batteries instead of the adapter that has twice the voltage. For just one person and a couple potatoes, I would agree that by hand is faster with the setup and cleanup time. But for harvest time and canning or freezing of apples, pears, etc., a couple of these would be awesome!

PS: That guy's work space is like a travel trailer or small boat galley.

I got this for my mom like 7+ years ago when she started having problems with her hands and not able to peel bunch of potatoes for family dinners. It peels most of the potatoes but you still need to peel the top/bottom part where the arm doesn't reach. She loves this thing, although it is kinda gimmicky. Made solid and has lasted multiple years of use, so can't really complain

Bought one years ago and still works. You have the keep the blade attachment clean to keep it peeling like it should. We have used it on potatoes and kiwi. Peels anything in about 5 seconds.
