"American Express reports that you do not have a membership rewards card"
I guess getting miles is not a reward.

Is it possible I'm just using the wrong card? I have multiple Amex cards, that might be the issue.
PS: if the price of an item jumps up from a low price (as usually happens), try calling customer service (they call you) within 48hrs to ask if they will honor that low price. Amazon just did me a solid and provided a courtesy credit on an item that was in my cart. Combined with the 30% Amex offer, a very slick deal!
