If you signed up back on day 1 did you get your $20 price locked in for all 50 states or did your membership convert later on?

So the total cost is: $72.95 (71.95+1). You need to do at least 10 times in 90 days.
In San Diego, our local AMC Dolby Cinema (only one worth going to as it is the only screen with recliner chairs) is over $20 for a single ticket. So really depends on where you live.

I just wanted to watch a few movies for cheap. I had already seen and paid for the movies I wanted to see this month so everything else was just bonus. Like edgar wright has a movie out now and i love his movies but, this one looks kinda meh so i could try it and walk out if it sucks. but, not if they want $72 to continue it when i can pay $5.50 on a tuesday night to see anything.

Try signing up with Virtual CC card generated by CITI or similar to that with $3 to $5.
goodcatchSo what prevents them from charging your virtual credit card similar to any subscription or internet service. Terms clearly say there is a 3-month commitment, if your credit card payment fails they will send you a bill to your home address
I'm not gonna condone this but, after getting pissed off about signing up without looking i cancelled my debit card and got sent a new one just so they couldn't charge me more. Then out of curiousity i used a burner email address with a fake name and privacy.com to generate a one time use credit card with a limit of $1 to see if it would work. Surprisingly it did.

This company is beyond bankrupt. I'd short the stock with every penny I had if I could actually find it to short.
Ok Cramer, Why don't you buy some Puts, then? Good luck with that, btw.

It was brutal this summer with A List. Movie theatres weren't showing movies until 3-4 pm. Selections were horrible since most went to streaming services.

Only good thing is Dolby cinema format and 5 minutes from home. See one movie a month and you are good.

Avoid Friday to Sunday for a better experience.

Can I buy it there then use it at my closer theater? How much does the plastic bucket cost?

Thanks
As long as it's an AMC Theatre, yes. You could also probably buy it at your local AMC,My 2 closest AMC's (not Classics) sell them. The 2020/2021 expires at the end of the year. It costs $10 (with popcorn) which is basically the same cost as a large popcorn. So any other popcorn you buy after is basically 1/2 off. Pro tip, for about $1 more most AMCs sell a top for the bucket. I get a refill when I leave the theater, put the top on when I get back to the car and I've got popcorn for the next day or two.

If you don't have classic AMC nearby is there any other way to score reduce price popcorn (for normal AMC theaters) Frown I am thinking of taking alist , just want to check if there is any popcorn deal I am missing out on.

No! Has to be a credit or debit card for monthly deductions.

My 2 local AMCs aren't Classics but they both sell and honor the $5 refills no questions asked.

The only issue you might run into is "while supplies last" Since the 2020 bucket ($10) is only good thru the end of the year. They're also selling the 2022 bucket now, so supplies of the 2020 (current one) might be limited?

If you think you'd be going and getting popcorn next year the 2022 bucket might be a better choice? Think it's $20 or $25 dollars and I'm sure it is usable now.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank taiwan

The reset is every Friday. If you want to maximize your membership, this is what you need to do. Join on Thursday (because the theater schedule for the following week or more will be up), and then you schedule three advance tickets on Thursday (but movie time could be Friday, Saturday, or even December and January..etc). Then a reset happens on Friday, then you can book 3 more tickets from Friday to next Thursday.

Instead of getting 12 tickets, you will get 15 tickets in one month.

Also there is a way for the name not to be displayed on the ticket so they don't check your ID. But I'm not going to let this secret spread so AMC would close the loophole.
