Just researched on XDA, looks like NO for the Tracfone variant. (SM-S515DL)
There is a private grey seller that will unlock samsung devices for $65. Too steep for something like this.
There are also no custom roms for this variant either, only the SM-A51_ models.

Yes, locked TF phones can be used for other TF family carriers. And vice versa.

I'm in the same boat. But I am expecting a cancellation.
I've used TF family phones for years and no need to have the cdma phone unlocked as it will work fine if using a TF sim that's running Att or a Simple Mobile sim. Currently using a Total Wireless iPhone SE 2020 on a Simple Mobile (T-Mo) plan. Never a issue if I'm sim swapping with locked American Movil branded phones.

Not a price mistake. It was a sale price that lasted for days. Nobody is paying $270 for this locked phone.

Except the bundled phone plan is Verizon & if users want the year of service they need to activate the phone on Verizon so they can unlock later. Questions came from new TF users that wanted to use TF ATT/T-Mo (which would also require a different sim).

Current active sims work but won't qualify to unlock.

Mine is a bigger story. Long story short... Yes I called them to get it unlocked. Sharing more details for others if useful.

1. My one year service got completed on 10/5/21. By the time I realized, it went to suspension for a week.
2. So recharged with 2 months of smart plan service that got service back on 10/12
3. On 10/14 or so, I chatted with the CS team. They are quick to generate pin and account number for my first request (in case want to port) and for my second request of unlocking, CS tried but their systems showed my service is active only for a couple of days though they do agree that my phone was active for more than year. So CS scheduled a call with their unlock technical team who called me in 15 min and fixed the issue while on the call overriding their system.

Yes, for unlocking the sim must remain with the phone. Good phone, but then a Pixel has been my choice as they have the full package of performance, screen, and killer camera and all the bands needed for any carrier.
