I would never pay attention to the MSRP. This seems like a legitimate price for a snow-blower of this caliber. 20 years ago, my father paid $600 for a 6.5 HP snow-blower from Northern Tool. I used that thing up until last year when I finally went for something bigger due to the crappy winters we can sometimes get on Long Island. We get a lot of wet snow here, so I needed something, with a more powerful engine, that could throw it.
