MarioKart live is the game that works with the real life RC. Be sure you want this instead of MarioKart 8 deluxe.

If a digital game is on sale direct from Nintendo and is the same price digitally at other retailers, buy from the other retailers (unless, of course, if you have credit).

When buying direct from Nintendo, you only get gold coins based on the sale price. When you buy from somewhere else and activate it with a code, you earn full gold coins based on full retail price.

Fortnite can be played on the switch but does probably play better on the xbox. Minecraft is available on the switch and an option. Mario Odyssey is a fun game but is more of a platformer like the old school mario game but in 3D and much more complex. You can't go wrong with Mario Kart like others are saying since it is probably the best racing game on the Switch. In my opinion, the switch is more than likely not the best console for First Person shooting games similar to Halo as the graphics are typically lower on the switch

That's fine. Not looking for a replacement for what he already have but rather an add on. I am in any case not buying same games for two different platforms 😊😊

If you plan to visit NYC in the near future, you can get the OLED Switch at the Nintendo store for retail pretty easily. I imagine it may be more difficult to procure as the holidays approach. Call the Nintendo store first before going to confirm they have a good supply on the day you plan to go—the earlier you go, the better your chances.

My kids have thoroughly enjoyed Splatoon 2, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and have loved Super Smash Brothers over the years. We are video game collectors, so physical games primarily. Amiibo definitely add to the fun. I would strongly recommend the Switch Parental Controls App so time and game ratings are controlled. The App also does monthly summaries so you can see how much time was spent on each game. Have fun! Smilie

Many people, myself included, have had good luck at GameStop. Try calling up some local stores. I got one on literally my first attempt, after failing to get one from a target for two weeks
