I had a OnePlus 6T and loved it, but I hated my OnePlus 8 for 90% of owning it. And by that I mean it was the worst phone I've ever had.

After one android update that was released probably around a year ago(I honestly don't remember) the phone would randomly crash multiple times per day. It would just freeze and then I'd get a popup saying the system crashed. I had the phone replaced 3 times, same issue every time. No way to roll back to an android version without it.

It was frustrating to the point of being unusable. If you don't plan on doing something with the software, which I can't say what would even work, I would skip.
Yes this phone will randomly have the os freeze. But with a daily reset. It seems to help clear it up. It may freeze up 3 times a week
Os freezes are hard to diagnose but typically is due to some app crashing in the background or using phone resources in excess. Wipe the phone clean and only download limited apps and see if any more os freezes

If there was a way to easily unlock it for AT&T, I'd be all over it.

If Oneplus didn't tank the trade value for the 7T I would have traded it in for this 8.

But 7T still has the better camera and screen so I will keep it.
What's the difference between the 7T screen and the 8? I also have 7T but sometimes the screen flashes a little

A11 sucks on my 6T as well. Mainly slow performance in Chrome, Camera randomly crashing (rare but it happens), and some UI lag
If you only flash the OOS 11 blobs and install Lineage OS 18.1, the experience will be much better

When OnePlus started flagship pricing their phones was their downfall. Used to love their phones up until the 7 series.

Flagship phones were like +$700 and OnePlus cost $299 back then.... Now you can get it cheaper at $250 with today's deal. Flagships are like $1k nowadays. Realistically can one expect their phones to be like $400-500 at launch? It stinks that there is a OnePlus inflation but buying a new year old phone is a good way to save a lot. I don't need the most powerful latest greatest feature phone. I can't see myself ever spending over $300 for any phone when there are so many great deals eventually coming around.

While the price is intriguing. This phone was absolute trash. I've owned maybe 100 different phones. This was the worst.

Darn. Bought last night at the $349 minus $50 price from other FP. Cannot get price adjustment nor cancel order because the status went into "Shipment is processing" within 20 minutes of placing the order even though shipment is not anticipated until 29 Nov.
same. it's a really dumb idea to take the price down even lower after everyone orders from another deal. now they'll want to cancel/send it back which is more hassle for everyone

Gimme a break. That's the response i expect from tech support deflecting blame. Yeah, it could happen, BUT freezes shouldn't happen much anymore. Years ago, it was expected. Not anymore. S21 Ultra here hasn't been reset in MONTHS and I have a lot of junk on it. I've thrown everything at this phone, and nothing breaks it.

Can we unlock this phone? Or would it be locked to T-Mobile only?
