Had old one in place. Taking that off took most of the time. However, good thing is that the mount was already there, wiring for T-sensors and wall unit was already there 😀

Took me a whole day to do it alone ... will say dediacatedly 6 hours. Add more if you need to all wiring and mount yourself.
I installed mine diy. Its not that difficult, but definitely time consuming. Mine was a different model though. i would assume installation would not be too different
I have this garage opener and it sucks. The remotes don't work unless there is a direct line of sight to the opener. Also it has trouble pairing to any newer model homelink. I would go with craftsman's or a different brand.

Wish they would have had this a few weeks ago, I just bought a 1/2hp genie for $137 from Lowes. This looks like a great deal if you need a new opener.

Was yours a new install or was there an automatic opener there before? Time it took to install?

FYI TL;DR: this model might not actually be "smart" by itself. Can't find confirmation...

This specific model is not listed on Genie's website. Home Depot says that it is "smart", but this model does not appear under Genie's line of smart openers. It looks like you need either: 1. Aladdin Connect hub or 2. Integrated Aladdin Connect. This model does not specifically state that it has either.

One remote and no light included. Geez, they are cheaping out on a lot of bits. May still work for me as I have newer remotes for my old opener. If only it had wifi - can't tell. Kinda reads like you would need a homelink device to get wifi??
