Picked this up the last time around and really like it. Really solid bedroom TV. On Saturday I was watching the 4K HDR stream of the Oklahoma/Baylor game on FOX and it looked really good. I know it's not a true 4K stream, but the picture quality was great. Yes it doesn't hold a candle to my LG C9, but it's also a quarter of the price. Definitely get a sound bar though.
65" 4K for $300 is a good deal no matter how you slice it, but just FYI, it does look like the model number in the BF ad is slightly different from the one for sale right now. The current TV model is E4FAB65R, while the one in the BF ad is E4FAB65R-T. I don't know anything beyond that, but this is probably a BF-specific model and not getting the $650 TV we see for sale right now.
Great price. Found the user guide and specs from Element. The user guide is over 100 pages so you should be able to find what you want to control the TV. You can use your phone instead of the remote it comes with.

My Roku devices are all RF so I was hoping the TV would be too.
The Roku TVs don't come with the fancy remotes, but they do work with them.

It depends on where you get it and which one you choose, but a RF Roku remote will set you back only $20 - 30.

I use this one with my Roku TV:

I love that its rechargeable, because I use the headphones a lot and that would eat batteries when I was using the non-rechargeable remote.

Thanks, this is definitely worth considering!

Some people place picture quality higher up than others in terms of importance. I saved up and got my LG C9 last year, which used to be my living room TV in my old place until I got a new one that had enough space for a dedicated home theater. Now my living room TV is last year's $250 65" Hisense because the only time it gets watched is when people are over for sports and a big, mediocre-quality TV will do just fine.
Totally — and I wasn't picking on you, more the years of stereotypical posts on SD Smilie

On top of picture quality, the remotes and ergonomics on the pricier TVs are worlds better, and usually the warranty support as well. Our "use case" is a couple of kids playing Switch an hour a day, and my wife and I watching a movie about once a week. TV is all streaming, which is compressed a bit, anyway.

I can live with a little DSE on my cheapo TCL, but if I had a huge BD/UHD collection I'd invest a lot more in AV.

Good information. This could be to prevent someone from buying it now and doing a price match when it goes on sale. Policy says it has to be the exact item and they can say it's not the same since the model number is slightly different.
Yeah you could be totally right. Hopefully that's the case. Unfortunately it's probably impossible to really tell unless you could get both models right next to each other lol.

Got a 55" Hisense 4K last year from Target for $128. I know those deals aren't combing back this year but I'm wondering if the quality of this brand is worth more than double.

I'm always amused by all the usual (slightly snobby and/or insecure) comments about using these in bedrooms, gyms, playrooms, etc.

Hi, my name is Ash78, and I use a budget-priced tv in my family room.

That feels better. Please join me.
Thank you. Made my day.

Bought this on the last deal. Setting it up at our vacation rental this Thursday. Replacing a 5 year old 55" TCL that is getting a faded screen.

Love it... and well you know so I bought the 32" Element Roku last BF for $89 (no I don't have a time machine so quit asking!) and I use it in my bathroom and anywhere else around the house I feel like it and it's great! Really it's been great FWIW well if that's worth anything.

Right? Still have my 50" Hisense smart TV from like 4 or 5 BFs ago still working in my living room. My bedroom's 32" LCD Toshiba has got to be at least 10 years old now. It's hooked up to an Onn TV box that I recently bought for $20 and works great for my needs. If it ain't broke, why replace. Then again I'm not a TV snob.
