Picked this up the last time around and really like it. Really solid bedroom TV. On Saturday I was watching the 4K HDR stream of the Oklahoma/Baylor game on FOX and it looked really good. I know it's not a true 4K stream, but the picture quality was great. Yes it doesn't hold a candle to my LG C9, but it's also a quarter of the price. Definitely get a sound bar though.
65" 4K for $300 is a good deal no matter how you slice it, but just FYI, it does look like the model number in the BF ad is slightly different from the one for sale right now. The current TV model is E4FAB65R, while the one in the BF ad is E4FAB65R-T. I don't know anything beyond that, but this is probably a BF-specific model and not getting the $650 TV we see for sale right now.
Great price. Found the user guide and specs from Element. The user guide is over 100 pages so you should be able to find what you want to control the TV. You can use your phone instead of the remote it comes with.

Bathroom TV. I'll take "Sh*t you only find in America for $400 Alex"
In our house we just take the iPad to the bathroom and watch TV that way.

Go this TV first time around. Mounted it on the wall in my MIL house without issue. For the price I say it is a great pickup. Looks great, picture is decent, Roku OS is great. If you expect LG C1 level performance for $300 I have a bridge to sell you.

I'm always amused by all the usual (slightly snobby and/or insecure) comments about using these in bedrooms, gyms, playrooms, etc.

Hi, my name is Ash78, and I use a budget-priced tv in my family room.

That feels better. Please join me.

I'm not snobbish or insecure but I will be using this TV in my outhouse.

The TV is usually IR. Some of the roku devices are IR and some are RF.
That's one of the 2 main reasons why I added the $20 Onn Android TV streaming box to my Roku TV - I don't like having to "aim" the remote over to one corner of the TV. My wife ultimately forgets, then gets furious that the 'remote isn't working again'. The ONN box has a pretty nice remote that works no matter which direction you are aiming it.

The other reason is that the ONN box has built in Chromecast, which was a cheap way to add that to my TV. It didn't seem to work with my phone and our fairly new Roku, so I needed a way to send video and images from my phone to our TV. 20 bucks turned out to be a pretty decent solution.

I recommend the Roku interface when built into the TV. I have had an Insignia Roku TV for about 5 years and never had a problem with it. Last Black Friday I bought a Vizio smart TV and have restarted that damn thing so many times. Sometimes I even have to unplug the TV from the wall to help it restart. For some reason some Netflix shows do not want to play audio either… So don't ever go for a Vizio smart TV imo. Unless you are getting JUST a Vizio tv and attaching a Roku, Apple, or google streaming device. This Roku TV will work pretty solid for some time.
Netflix crashes on our 65" TCL 615 model which is about 3 years old. Their flagship model and supposedly the Roku Ultra built in. Reset the tv, deleted the app and reinstall, same deal. Very frustrating. Can't even cast Netflix to the set from the phone. Still crashes.

Has anyone used this outside on a covered patio?

I dont care about it wearing out in 2-3 years.

Just want to make sure the brightness and settings are OK to use in sunny Florida (it will be facing South and covered over a hanging roof, so no direct sunlight)
