Wrote this in the other post for $22. Make sure to do the Google One free trial (a storage upgrade for cloud, email, and photos) and make a account on stadia with the same Gmail to get 3 months free Stadia Pro vs just 1 month.

Nope, you get NOTHING confirming you've qualified if it is anything like the other times, until they send you the link/code after the promotion is over. You can talk with CS to confirm however if you'd like.

Edit: From the Stadia subreddit;

Q: Can I use the $10 coupon when making a purchase?

A: Yes. Related to the above, as long as the purchase price for a game or bundle is $29.99 or above, you are eligible for the Stadia Premiere Edition offer. In other words, if the purchase price is $29.99 and you use the $10 coupon to bring the price to $19.99, you'll still be eligible for the offer.

PSA: It is $29.99 for the game, but read the terms, Google may not ship it for free. It cost me $10 for the RE:Village bundle in the summer. Cyberpunk and the most recent bundle a few weeks ago were free shipping. The $22.22 is free shipping for some who ordered who just one.

How dumb would it be to go for this deal with the main intention to just use the controller on my gaming PC outside of Stadia with games I own on other platforms? I've read that the controller can work with many games with a USB C cable. I'd of course love the Chromecast and if I could get a game out of it to play now and then that's fine, but is the Stadia Controller decent to use with Steam or XBOX Gamepass etc.?

It is decent, Steam recognizes the controller right away.
