No Bluetooth output for a wireless speaker system? 😕
Why would you use Bluetooth for this? It's like hooking up VHS to a 4k OLED

My wife was looking for a record player as she thought it would be nice to have and wanted to get some of her music on vinyl.

I know literally nothing about this. Its all entry level stuff and thought the BT would make it easy and accessible. She was looking for an option with a speaker built in/retro sort of vibe. Would this be a good option or should she go with something else? (Trying to find something that isnt absolute junk entry type of option with also not going too far in the other direction)

Understood. Generally speaking for what you want to do just get a cheapo crossly vinyl. This is not what you want. For the hobbyist, it's well known Bluetooth will lose a lot of fidelity as it's inferior with data transfer for music. You can easily get something for $100 with a built in speaker, am/fm, CD player, with aux. of course the crossly all in ones are just pretty much a toy.

Good to know, I'm a simple guy so Bluetooth seemed the simplest. In for 1 my Home theatre surround sound has hook up for this. Thanks

The RT81 is a very good entry level turntable with built-in pre-amp (useful if your receiver/integrated amp does not have an MM/MC phono input). $199 is a lukewarm price. This model has been on sale for $179 (last year's Black Friday price if memory serves) so this isn't a must-buy at this price.

For casual vinyl listening I'd probably recommend the Audio-Technica AT-LP60X which can be had for <$130.

I purchased the Fluance RT-83 in 2020 as an upgrade from an off the shelf Sony record player. I am by no means an audiophile but I wanted a player that looked and sounded good.

Fluance knocked it out of the park. The dark walnut color and rich full sound make Fluance and the RT-83 a top recommendation from me.

The major difference between mine (rt-83) vs the one listed here (rt-81) is the needle. Don't disregard this basic fact as it is always ALL about the needle. The 81 also has a preamp for a more basic set up, which is a positive to some users.

As a side note. These are manual record players. You must place and remove the needle when playing/done playing. It is MORE inconvenient to use than most cheaper players. This is a device you want because you love the ritual around music and enjoy good sound! With this player you're dipping your toe in the world of vinyl and collecting. The water is fine, but can get a bit pretentious.

I bought the RT81 a few years ago. I have loved it! I also got it for about $200. I just upgraded to the RT85, and it's fantastic, with a much better needle. I have nothing but good things to say about both these turntables.

Better off buying a used Technics direct drive table.

A nice unit, especially for the price point - jump on it now because sales at Fluance are few and far between, and by early Dec last year they were sold out as were many turntables in the $200-400
