It's amazing in that each button is programmed separately directly from another remote. You can use 1 button for tv power, 1 button for sound bar, volume buttons for sound bar, channel buttons for cable box etc. You could program one to an old fan that has a remote or a window A/C unit. Literally each button can do anything that another (IR) remote can do.
How would I use this with my Chromecast remote? It seems like most of the buttons are redundant. What would be some applications for A and B buttons? Is this thing intended to control a third device like a DVD?
Had one for an older Roku that didn't have the power and volume buttons and it was useful.

FYI I only use sound through the soundbar and not the TV. You might only be able to control volume on one or the other using the chromecast remote.

My projector, BenQ, requires 2 power button presses to turn off the projector, can this do that? Or do I have to press twice still?

I have a couple of these for the older Apple TV HD, before the current remote. Perfect solution for that and the added side buttons control the power for the sound bar and can change the input on my TV
does this Apple TV version fit the current remote?

Can this be programmed to access my TV's input menu and toggle between the 4 HDMI inputs? I'd be using it with a Fire stick 4k.

Love these things and very good price. Have like three of them, you can program literally any remote command by learning it from the original remote. Very useful mostly for soundbars, those separate remotes have always been a pain.

If the BenQ remote is sending the same signal each time it is pressed, then the sideclick can do the same. Pretty much a simple universal IR remote

The attachment piece holds the edge and back of the remote and may hold it together depending what you mean by falling apart

was hoping this was a slideout keyboard. Guessing this doesn't help you fill in usernames or passwords, correct?

Never mind, yeah not for me. I have a few remotes (chromcast, fire, nvdia) and I'm cool with them as is.

Thanks for posting this. I have been happily using the Sideclick for a while. I also like the Philips 4-device Remote that holds the Fire Remote for a one-remote feel. Because of your post, I noticed that it, too, is on sale at Best Buy.

It gives more control (more buttons) for stuff like Blu-Ray players, so you can control TV, Fire Stick, Blu-ray, and Soundbar with intuitive buttons.

(The timing is unfortunate because I was in the market for the Philips model and had just bought one last week. Now I have to decide if I need another or either. Slickdeals saves me so much that I spend more!)
