Informational note: Topaz switched to a semi-subscription model. I believe the way it works is that when you buy, you get a license to use the software and a year of updates. After your year is up, then you can keep using the latest version you have at that point, but no further updates unless you pay again. Full info: https://support.topazlabs.com/art...e-licenses

So don't just buy this to stockpile it. But this is a very good deal.

Essentially get out of the way and let me take whatever magic is available. If you have a limited budget and don't already own DxO PhotoLab get that first, I'd take DeepPrime and ClearView Plus over Sharpen AI any time. DeepPrime and ClearView Plus improve almost every photo they touch, whereas Sharpen AI is a niche tool that occasionally works magic. Plus of course PhotoLab does far more than only those two enhancements, it is a complete Lightroom upgrade.
Topaz works on jpeg (too), DxO only works on raw, correct? I need something for older scanned pics, trying to figure out which one to get. i do have CaptureOne express (sony) for general processing.

Topaz DeNoise is hit and miss. Sometimes it feels like a miracle and others it makes things worse. But it's a good tool to add to your image editing arsenal.
Sharpen AI typically does a fine job.
