Bought this a week ago, it is very nice. Used it to unrack servers. Made a mistake to put it high torque mode as i was having an issue with one of the nuts, and this thing broke the head off. With great power comes great responsibility.
"Milwaukee Tool recently expanded its brushless power tool line. Brushless technology previously had been restricted to Milwaukee's ultra-powerful FUEL tools, which are available in M12™ and M18™ cordless power options. Now, Milwaukee has responded to consumer demand for making still-powerful but more compact brushless tools that can be easier to maneuver.
All Milwaukee FUEL tools are brushless, but not all Milwaukee compact brushless tools are made with the torque and drive of FUEL tools. That is the real difference between Milwaukee brushless vs. FUEL tools. Milwaukee's compact power tool selection separates it from the FUEL lineup because the tradespeople demanded a smaller version of brushless tools. Milwaukee responded with a solution."
I see this is brushless, why does this not carry the "fuel" name? (I'm very new to Milwaukee tools)
fuel is their top of the line brushless, all fuel tools are brushless
so milwaukee->milwaukee brushless->milwaukee fuel
the fuel adds more power, 5-10% over brushless and some internal safety features. the fuel system is able to push more juice out of the batteries with red magic.
but mainly everyone gets them for the added power and bc theyre top of the line

I'm a Milwaukee guy for years. ..this is the 1st fuel version prior to labeling(Gen 1). have sets of both. 16+ tools. DEF pass on this one. can prob get the Gen 2 or 3 for $120
I bought a 2962-20 tool only on past deal and still needing a battery and charger. Any deals with a good battery and charger and tool (dont need m18 drill). Missed deal with same tool and 5ma battery for $200 but then no charger... I have been looking but haven't found much yet. Would love deal on circular saw batter and charger.

I believe you when you say you're a Milwaukee guy for years, but are we certain that this is not a new Gen 3 model that incorporates a non-fuel, brushless design?
