So I have a fireplace with a bookshelf on each side. Each bookshelf has a small narrow opening. Would two Studio 520Cs (one on each side) work or would the sound be off because it is a center channel speaker?

It would probably be just fine if you had them hooked up via a receiver in the proper outputs for FL and and FR.
Hello Everyone, Need suggestion or guidance as I bought Studio 520C Loudspeaker recently for connecting to TV. I would like to know what type cable is required to connect speaker to TV.

A front ported speaker would probably be more ideal in that setup, but it could be done.

You'll need an additional speaker and an AV receiver (some other options but that would be standard)

Don't do it. The 520c is the worst of the series. Stick with 530's, even if you have to lay them flat.
I ordered JBL 580 in previous deal when it was $300 each. I am no expert but this is my opinion so far - Horn tweeter is little harsh but I like it and base is really good. The biggest disappointment is midrange comparing to my previous speaker Polk s55. Also, horn tweeter shines in movies but too harsh when listening to music. Disappointed considering how well reviewed these speakers are!

I'm not surprised, that opinion happens more than you know or see on here.
Many times people won't dare speak negatively about JBL/Infinity!
You're going to get many people disputing what you "heard", often it is based on not actually listening but something they "read".
