If you have gmail and your account hasn't been inactive for 30 days, use the +1 trick. So if your account is [email protected], create a new Hulu account at [email protected]. It's the same account on your end but Hulu will see it as a different email address.

Good deal. Just want to take the time to say that the number of commercials that you have to sit through on their regularly priced ad supported plan os nuts. I could see 1 1:30 minute break during an episode, but there are like 4 during a 40 minute episode.

Just make another account with a different email. I go back and forth each year.

Wish they let you upgrade to no-ad for $5, but no.
The ads have doubled over the years, and volume in them are higher than the show.

Anyone know if I can change my credit card later on without forfeiting this 0.99 rate?

I need to sign up for a Discover card but obviously it won't get here in time to get in on this deal. So I'm willing to pay the 0.99 for the first month but would love to be able to switch it to the Discover card for the rest of the 11 months.

Does this work?

So ad Supported is like watching a movie with commercials every 15 minutes?
Most of the movies don't have commercials. Only the TV shows and Hulu series have commercials.

Are you saying it takes more than an hour to watch a 1 hour TV show on Hulu? That hasn't been my experience. They play less commercials than broadcast TV and a 1 hour broadcast TV show (which is actually 42 minutes long) normally takes about 50 minutes to watch. That is a savings of about 8-9 minutes of commercials or 50% fewer commercials per hour.

Hulu commercials have a countdown timer, so you know how long they will last, usually around 1.5 minutes.

I did this $1/month plan last time it was offered and never used it. Seeing ads during the show was just annoying.

Worked for me. I have two accounts. I just flip and flop back and forth year to year.

The service with ads is definitely worth $0.99 a month. I was waiting for this deal again. I did not like spending two bucks a month this past year.

Last year it was $1.99 a month which is fixing to expire in a couple of days.

Thanks, OP !!

Tried with all my old accounts, no dice. Tried with some new emails, no dice. Changed the credit card and it worked. This does not make me feel very confident that they're storing credit card information like that.
I'm sure they're just hashing it. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I had a similar issue but maybe slightly different. I followed the instructions by clicking the link in slickdeals. Got to the landing page and then click the other Hulu button to get the deal for 99 cents a month.

The problem was it gave me no indication of the deal. The page on Hulu basically said resubscribe with no other pricing information.

I hit the back button one time and landed on a Hulu page that had my credit card information and the page confirmed my deal for 99 cents a month to expire 11/24 next year.

So if anyone had that issue, now you had to solve it. By the way, I was using an email that was in the system for several years.

Edit:
I was able to use the credit card that I had already in the system that was on file for the email account that I used the year before last.

use ublock origin and an ad blocking script to block all of the ads, there will not even be a black screen
Thanks !
Will search on that path.
Does it work with Roku?

... and yes,
movies seem to have only one ad at the start.

peacock legit has 1 and 1/2 or even many times 0 mins of commercials even in the ad plan. Also on a regular service like comcast, directv, etc... you can pause and then start skipping commercials, so it's much worse on streaming services where you can't skip them.
I just finished the Lost Symbol series on Peacock and didn't find the ad breaks any less frequent that Hulu. And you can't compare a 99c service (or even $6.99 at full price) to a service ranging from $45 to hundreds a month. That's like complaining that a used minivan takes 10 seconds to get to 60 mph when a new Corvette can get there under 3 sec.
