I mean, yeah 720p lulz, but at 32 inches, I doubt you can tell a difference
You can absolutely tell the difference. It is a common misconception that you need large TVs to notice a difference. I can tell the difference between my 1080p phone and my big 4K TV. It doesn't matter what size any screen is, there is always a noticeable difference.

Viewing distance relative to the screen is the key. Highway LED advertisement signs are like 30 feet across and have a laughably "inadequate" resolution (not even 2k for a 25 FOOT screen) given their size, but they look fine because you see them from so far away. This resolution would be perfectly suitable if viewing distance was appropriate.
I can't imagine buying a 720p TV in this decade(720p was obsolete before 2010), let alone paying as much as a larger 4K Smart TV.
What would you even use this for? Displaying lyrics for karaoke night? A bathroom tv? 😂
Stop being over dramatic, I do use a Toshiba Amazon Fire TV 32 inch 720p, no complaints watching Netflix, Youtube etc. I got it in 2019 for $69 and have no complaints its well worth the price.
Now 1080p and a good panel will be much better like some older Samsung 32 inch 1080p has significantly better pic quality specially blacks!
And I agree the 43 in Onn Tv 4k for $99 was the best deal.
You can't tell the difference between 720 and 1080 on a 32" so that's not really an issue. That said, this isn't a great price normally as we've seen 42" for that price point prior to all this madness.
Still using my 55" TCL for $148 from last year and it's working well in the bedroom.
Ehhh that's arguable. The difference from 720p to 1080p is pretty huge. At this size it would be more significant than going from 1080p to 4K. But you can certainly tell the difference.
