Garbage sale. Most of the discounts are manufacturers rebates (nothing to do with DTD) and based on using their credit card. Otherwise, $40 off a $1000 set of tires...
This isn't anything to do with the deals, just an FYI in terms of the tire brands:
Michelin, BFGoodrich and Uniroyal branded tires are owned by Michelin Corp, France
Goodyear, Cooper, Dunlop tires are owned by Goodyear Corp, Ohio.
Bridgestone, Firestone branded tires are owned by Bridgestone Corp, Japan
Continental and General branded tires are owned by Continental AG, Germany
Sumitomo and Falken tires are owned by Sumitomo Corp, Japan

FYI.. after pricing Michelin CC2 they were slightly cheaper with the Costco sale.
I have been in the hunt for new tires. Costco had the best deal on the Michelin's I wanted.

Was able to combine the military family discount (verified through Id.me) plus the card discount to get some Michelins for my F150 for ~$750 installed. Best price I've found. Thanks, OP!

DTD sales not as good as they were in the past, but the old days are the old days.

I wish America's Tire had the same sale because I could just walk in and purchase so it would be easier to deal with if I ever had a problem. DTD has taken care of all my issues in the past, BTW.

I also hoped they had a sale on General tires.

Looks like the website does not allow the 5% discount and the instant rebate combine but when I called my local shop they did both. Its kind of a wash because I could have bought online, paid via paypal, and gotten 5% through chase freedom.

Edit: I checked Costco and they were slightly cheaper than the $110 instant rebate plus 5% off. My local Discount Tire matched that price.
The 5% says combined with any offer. A few tires i'm looking at require me to hit a certain price point before it is combined.

Looks like I am going to have to call the store.

Rubber shortage. Not sure if it's still going on, but I imagine sales will get better once the supply stabilizes.

Sent the wife to Discount Tire this week after she hit something on the interstate. I assumed they would have a deal. It cost her $900+ for some Yokohamas which are only sold at discount tire LMAO. I could have taken it to Sam's and got 4 Goodyear with the same ratings for $500. first and last time I buy from this company. Just another shit show like Firestone/Kaufman.
I quit going to Discount Tire when I saw the installers literally racing each other, to see who could throw them on the fastest. I don't know if the winner forfeited the win, if the customer came back complaining.

Other strange experience, assistant manager asked if I wanted to pay $20 total for installing 4 of my own tires from Tire rack - no paperwork. He suggested the guys were due a tip, but am betting he pocketed it.

It seems that they never offer these discounts on winter tires. Does anybody see winter tires with discounted on this promo?
Tire rack has been running lots of winter tire rebates all summer long. Some still going.

Have been around tires for 20 years and I stand by what I say. Nothing against you, but over the last 10-15 years Goodyear's have became worse and worse quality wise. Look up the Goodyear ultratour or tour a/s if you want a good example. 70k mile tires that lasted a solid 25k-30k. Their quality isn't the same as it used to be. Pirelli, Mich, Yoko, Contis, etc are by far superior now in terms of ride and quality.

I went to American tire Depot and they had buy 4 tires get the 4th freem is that not a good deal?
If they are in stock. It's pretty bogus when they offer the deal on-line knowing full well it isn't in stock at your nearest location. Tried that the General RT43's.

I noticed in last 20-30 days prices have gone up significantly.

Nokian Entyre were 240-260 now they want 320.

I think this is a good deal for picky people like me who have been looking at a specific tire that never goes on sale. Saved $130 on new Toyo Light Truck tires. Could have gotten the equivalent BFG tires at costco for less but the Toyo I got are better suited to my specific needs.

That's a great dry climate tire, even in dry snow. It rains alot where I live and the compound(?) in the tire that gives wet traction seems to wear out in 20k-30k miles. Also, living in a damp climate, I drive on ice in the winter where K02's underperform.
