On that note, anyone feeling like the deals in general on SD have been getting worse and worse?

Seriously, BF is almost every day for something when you use SD. It is just more work to sift through all of them which are weighted towards holiday periods like this. You can always find fabulous deals with proper deal alerts and this time of year it gets hard to keep up and all the pressure with low stock items is just a bit of bait and switch for the most part. Just enjoy the real deals you want and can get nearly every day here. Or put it off until BF, et al, and feel the pressure and frustration.

Consumer electronics are in short supply so this likely won't be a killer year for those deals, but there will be some, I guarantee that.

Definitely. So called deals posted here are less and less substantial. Most are just iterations of emails that most people receive. The real deals are far and few these days, unfortunately

i think the volume dropped off because a lot were price mistakes or errors in checkout that allowed stacking of discounts. nowadays i think there are more safeguards in place. that and the way supply/demand are being met there isn't the huge need anymore
