It's a great deal. Don't pass it up just because it doesn't have a sandwich container.
To be fair we each handle sandwiches differently, in quality, frequency, and even content. My sandwich is different from your sandwich and my sandwich may change daily. We simply don't know the importance of the sandwich in one another's lives to say if a sandwich container makes or breaks this deal.
I'm a soup man myself. And these are all soup containers.

I make a range sandwiches that vary in size and all of these containers are sandwich containers for me. 😋
That's nice of you to share but be aware the take-along series is way way thinner plastic than this set. It isn't as sturdy and have been known to leak because the lids don't snap on the way this set does. They are useful, we pack to go leftovers and giveaway treats in them, but we wouldn't store food to travel in them.
Also, this set for 7 bucks, we use to store leftover in and because we buy them so inexpensively, we also sent food with family and friends and don't make it a point to get the dishes back. So each year we buy 3 or 4 sets and just use them until they get stained or sent home with people. Also, my wife tends to lose them between here and work, lol. I don't know how but they get lost. I'd highly suggest this set over the take-along unless you know what you're serving isn't travelling and it won't be used much as they aren't very sturdy.

I picked this up today and I was disappointed there are no sandwich size containers. I'm trying to portion control my lunches and the included sizes are too big or small for pack lunch.
I don't think Rubbermaid makes a sandwich sized container in this style, so I'd be surprised to see them included at any price.
Wow. I never received as many responses to a post like this thread. My statement about sandwich size really touched a nerve with many folks. I'm not much of sandwich eater. When I do pack sandwiches, I use sandwich bags.
Anyway I highlighted the attached image to illustrate my original point. This pack is missing a common size. It's perfect for packing meals for the week. I'm not trying to over eat. I blindly bought this set since past BF sets included it. I'll keep using the Take A Longs from the dollar store.

It's funny that you are pointing out the sandwich issue as a big deal for people when you brought it up, then you state that you aren't even a big sandwich eater. I guess some people are happy being miserable.
Anyway, I'm happy with this deal as I've already stated. And if you do suddenly 😉 start to take your work sandwich seriously, then you'll realize the tiny containers in this set are great at segmenting your sandwich ingredients so you can assemble a fresh sandwich right before you eat it. The very small containers are good condiment or sauce dishes and the smaller one can hold meat and cheese slices or veggies, then just toss a few slices of bread into a sandwich baggy and boom! Fresh sandwich. Of course this advice is for everyone else. Not you. You're not a sandwich person. 😉

This turned into an issue of semantics. The lesson I learned here is not to use the words "sandwich size" to illustrate the size I'm referring to. People took it literally. I should have wrote "3 cup/700 ml square container" instead.

That's true, or you could not take things online personally. That's always an option.

When I switched to local pickup at a store that showed stock, it stayed at $3 each.

Maybe I shouldget this from Sams Club [samsclub.com], but $10 for 5 containers doesn't seem like an amazing deal.
They did include one on older sets, it fit store bought bread slices perfectly. It just isn't in this set and instead larger containers are inclued.
