Waiting the whole weekend for a good deal on Tablet/Conv. Notebook to takes notes, and draw on the screen. Is this it? Any experience how fluid is the pen on this one? TIA!
I enjoy the original Surface Go quite a lot. Metal build quality is fantastic. Display is very nice. Keyboard is a dream and quite remarkable. This CPU would be nice to have.
The eMMC memory is fine, and still faster than a spinning hard drive, it's just a bit slower than SSD. Note with 64 GB you won't be using the hard drive anyway. You'll be using an SD card or cloud storage. Treat this like a thin client.
*However* keep in mind the total cost of ownership:
You'll want to additionally buy a Type Cover (MSRP $80?) or an aftermarket keyboard ($?).
You may or may not want the Surface Pen (MSRP $70-100?).
It may add up to the price of a decent laptop. The perks of owning a Go are build quality, light weight, fast boot times, and it's a pleasure to type and write on. But it's not handicapped like a tablet is.
However if you don't write on it much (I don't as much as I thought I would) a higher spec 11" laptop might be a better option.

eMMC is not too bad. I use SG mostly to surf web and write on MS word
CPU is an upgrade
