Incredible fun and replayability.
Just do yourself a favor and avoid the latest DLC (Repentance). It pretty much ruined the game for me (IMHO).

When stories came out about Tyrone, Edmund did say he would continue doing Repentance with Nicalis, because of contracts and it also employed many non-toxic peeps, but, that would be the last one.
Edmund is a key character in Indie Game the movie, and, I'll never forget my experience watching that. My dad was in the hospital in an induced coma, and, everything was really just sad around my house. I wanted something to distract me that was happy, so I put on Indie Game. At the end (spoiler) his game, Super Meat Boy ends up doing well, and he's just filled with such joy about it that I just started crying tears of joy as well.
(My dad ended up being fine).
With that said, Isaac is my favorite game of all time. I've played every version of it since Rebirth and dropped thousands of hours into it. It's such a great great game.
