I wonder if you could use a smart plug like a Kasa to start it up but it looks like it's an electronic-type switch that doesn't stay on.
There actually a lot of reviews that talk about overflow. It's the biggest complaint from what I read. I purchased but might return based on the consistent reviews of overflow and the fact you need kalita 185 filters for single cup pours. Didnt realize they were hard to find/expensive.
I've only used it a few times since I got it but it works great for brewing small quantities of coffee in my experience so far. Keep in mind that the one to four cup attachment that uses those expensive filters isn't really necessary. You can just use the normal filter basket with normal size filters. I haven't had any issues with overflowing and it's really easy to pour from the carafe. I guess time will tell but I don't give those negative reviews much credence at this point.
That's good to know! I really wanna keep it since I got such a good deal on it. So you've brewed 2-4 cups with the regular size filter? Notice a difference in quality?
