This comment is only for the diy who are thinking of tackling a job in the house. Bought and used on wiring cat6e. I am a noob but only had to punch down 20 terminals. I do not work in the field just wanted to wire my house up. Tips if using this. Pick "a" or "b" set up and stick to it throughout. I used "a" so google pros and cons and make a few patch cables to play around with it and get used to the tool. Tip 2 leave enough of a pigtail so if you mess up you wont lose material to start a crimp over. And short wires are better for pass throughs than long wires, long wires bunch up as you are attempting to pass them through and come our of order. When straightening pairs of wires use something round to pull from the base of the wire to get it as straight as possible. This device has a cut off as apart of the crimp but make sure you have another pair of snips to cut the wires all the same length. Cut down to an inch and bend the wires back and forth between your thumbs to straighten them as much as possible. Slide in and crimp you just saved yourself several thousand dollars of hiring a wiring company. The build of this tool is solid would purchase at this price
I have used 1000s of cat6EZ for atlona baluns and POE ip cams.

zero issues. since day one.
Right, with your logic we should not buy or post deals here for the quality brands ...Dewalt, Milwaukee and so on. Should only buy off brands.

Careful there with the Platinum connector as it appears it would not work with thick 23AWG Cat 6A.
True. But, are home users installing shielded cables?

Thank you for the Home Depot link. Used my veteran discount and made it about the same price as this deal with the added connector bonus.

Guys come on, search Rj45 crimper on fleabay, ax, amazun, sort lowest to highest price, scroll down until you see the SAME EXACT tool without stickers or a super fancy comfortable handle, from a few dozen different sellers, pick the cheapest one you see from a seller with a decent reputation and then realize that Klein bought tens of thousands of these from the same factory in China at $1-2/unit and is selling them at a 20-40x markup, before their overhead costs are accounted for.
My horseshit detector is going crazy about this post.

More expensive, a more complicated installation, and unnecessary. But knock yourself out.

Been using this for my christmas lights show for a few years now and works great. There is a known issue where it will not fully cut the last wire. Mine does it like 75% of the time. Just an FYI

That isn't really how I read what he typed. Klein absolutely rebrands no name versions of a lot of their more obscure tools. This may very well be one of them. If we were talking about a Klein screwdriver that would be different.

The shielding protects against interference. Homes and small businesses won't have problems with interference that isn't already resolved by the twisted pairs.

Thanks for the heads up on homedepot, they are off my list for now....

Unless you know you can pickup next day or two max, don't bother with their store pickup right now. I purchased a curbside pickup item with a specific pickup by date (Nov 30th), and knew I would be in the area in the afternoon on the 29th, not a big deal.

They canceled the order the morning of the 29th....

Huh? I've literally installed thousands of feet of cable using Platinum Tools EZ-RJ45 connectors and crimpers and every one tests perfectly with my Fluke CableIQ. I've never had a problem with PoE.

Use quality cable, quality connectors and make sure you have a good crimp.

As a few others have said, there is almost never a reason to need shielded cables in your home. And if there is, you probably need to address the reason that you have EMI, because something is wrong with your electronics.

Just fyi. Klein doesn't warranty any tool from Amazon as they are not an authorized retailer and are known to sell refurbs as new.
