The table went down $100 but the house to put it in now costs 2 times as much.
Even if it takes half an hour more, it's a one time thing for the life of the table. The fact that this is $60 cheaper for a similar (or even ostensibly better) playing experience is the biggest determining factor.

The other factor is that this has a cover. That's a big practical benefit. No need to worry about dust or keeping it clean. For those things alone, even it takes a bit more time to assemble, who cares?

Honestly, 15mm vs 18mm doesn't really matter for casual home users. Unless you are playing tournaments, for most people who are just gonna play with family and friends it won't matter. It might matter for some people, in which case the ESPN is a better buy.
This is a great deal. Looking at the price history previous low was $240 and typical price is $350.

I had ordered the Joola 15mm for $251 this morning but on seeing this deal I cancelled that and ordered this instead. This is $60 less than the Joola, is 18mm instead of 15mm and comes with a cover which the Joola does not.

You should just online chat with walmart customer service like I did. walmart immediately created a replacement order for me, which is picked up and estimated to deliver on 1/10.

btw, I'm also in DFW. The funny thing is, I got an email from Pilot freight that my table is already at DFW airport and they'll call me to schedule delivery. I thought it's the replacement order, while, no! It's the one pilot picked up on 12/08/2021... Let's see what happens.
Did you get your table?

Right, the box is slightly broken at one side but nothing inside is impacted. Overall pilot kept it well. Still no idea what the box experienced between 12/08 the picked up date and 01/05 I got the scheduled delivery email lol

Just finished assembled this thing yesterday. i didn't have my power tool with me and didn't want to wait until weekends to get it back, so i used the bare tool. it took me about 4 hours to complete the assembly. below are some of my thoughts on this table, hopefully it helps someone here:

1. this table is better suits my needs compared to the other pre-installed table on this site, because i'm playing this in the base, and i have a long and narrow staircase, short ceiling and needs to immediately turn left or right once i'm down to the basement. so there is no one my wife and i can maneuver a 200+ pounds table by ourselves, but with this table, you can open the box upstairs and bring the different pieces down stair easy with 2 people. so it's a lot more manageable for me need.
2. you definitely want to have a powertool around. it will save you time (probably by halve, or at least 1/3 of the time)... the thing is, the table came with pre-drilled "holes" but more like "dots", so you really need to spend a lot of energy to drill the screws down (maybe it's just me though)..
3. if you have only two people, step 9 really needs to be done last. otherwise you will need 3 people to flip the table around, and there is a chance you can damage the wheel if you put too much weight on it when you flip. if you do step 9 last, it can be done by just 2 (wife and 2) without too much trouble.
4. some of the metal frame/leg had some rust on it, the corner of the wooden table had some chipped on them due to shipment... it doesn't bother me for the price, but it may bother some.
5. i encourage you to count the pieces before you assemble, i thought i miss a bag and went on panic mode since i already started the assembly and didn't want to wait for them to ship the missing piece. but it turned out that there was a bag that does not have a label.

i haven't played on it yet, but the table is solid. let me know if anyone has any questions.
Just log in to say thank you. I only have a teen to help me. Your approach resolved a big concern of flipping over. Also, aprons can be installed later too. It is easier to grip the table without the aprons and avoiding damage the aprons.

Yeah, the gap when the table is flat is not an issue, but the gap when you fold one side to self-practice is a pain in the rear. I'm going to design something to cover that up, since it really kills the joy of single play.
Agree with you 100%. I just folded one side today for the first time and saw how huge it is. I think we need like a hardboard to cover that area.

from my experience, even for table without the gap, the single player exp using folded table is not great due to the unnatural bounce coming back. if you really want to enjoy single player exp, look into a robot. some robot can do crazy spins and it's a lot of fun playing compare to hitting a table/wall. just my two cents.
