Got my kids a Switch for Christmas and found the two follow super deals in eShop "Great Deals" section:

LEGO Harry Potter collection $9.99:

https://www.nintendo.com/games/de...on-switch/

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 Deluxe Edition (Game and DLC) - $8.99

https://www.nintendo.com/games/de...-2-switch/

(you have to scroll down on this page to see the deal, but it is the full game and all DLC content for $8.99!)

I bought both as this is the cheapest I've seen them, and figured I'd share here too. You can buy these from the Switch too under the eshop "Great Deals" section.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

"No. It is not possible to send a gift in the Nintendo eShop (on-device or off-device)." Via Nintendo's website

The only way to do this is with 3rd party digital sellers like Amazon, Gamestop, Walmart. They will send you a code that can be redeemed by any Nintendo account. Buying directly from Nintendo can only apply the game to the account that makes the purchase.

For new switch owners, dekudeals is an awesome way to find and compare Switch game prices
My advice is to open it, register it, go through the set up menu, download any games or updates to games, charge the Joy Cons (this all takes at least half an hour), then repackage it. Your daughter will have a Switch ready to play out of the box on Christmas morning.

I've heard Harry Potter is riddled with bugs (some game-breaking), but for $10 it's hard to say no.

Huh, I might check that out. So far I prefer psprices since you can do multiple systems.

They are both deal aggregators/price finders, not dissimilar to SD, but less community contribution.
They will both also check for different platforms versions of a game.

I got started with Deku so I will need to check out PSprices to see whether I like it better

Dekudeals is a great website. You can add games to your wish list or make a list of your collection to keep track of what you have (which can be difficult to keep track of if you have a bunch lol).

Here is my collection: Grows all the time especially with cheap or free indie games. https://www.dekudeals.com/collection/mcv3mv8vyx

You can only purchase titles for the logged in account when purchasing digital games from the Nintendo eshop. You will not receive a code. You need to buy from a third party vendor to get redemption codes.

You need to register the device first. The package isn't sealed so you could do this now but know that Legos games go on sale monthly.
