I have no idea why bestbuy is calling this a Mechanical keyboard, there is nothing except that title to suggest that this is actually a mechanical keyboard. If you check the pcmag review of the keyboard they say that this is NOT a mechanical keyboard. So be aware.

Almost got fooled into buying one Frown

to replace the older version. Had to research around a bit since this is first hearing "mechanical keyboard" from MS.

I can't seem to find anyplace calling it a mechanical keyboard except BB. Amazon's listing doesn't call it a mechanical kb. Microsoft's own site doesn't call it a mechanical kb. Newegg doesn't call it a mechanical kb.

BB apparently decided to call it a mechanical keyboard because... reasons I guess.

Yeah, I couldn't find anyone else calling this a mechanical keyboard either which is why I posted the warning to everyone out there looking for an ergonomic mechanical keyboard like me, looking to replace my old Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 that I've been using for the past 10+ years Smilie

It's really strange, I don't think I've ever seen anyone selling an ergonomic mechanical keyboard, even though there has to be a decent market for one.
