Mint Mobile's (4GB LTE data per month) 1 year plan of $180 (+tax =~$200) will be a similar deal (if you need a little more LTE date). They also have intro promo for new users (buy 3 months get 3 months free) or buy a phone with them and get 12 months service free. Worth a look.

This "deal" pays for the tax on the regular renewal plan .... Instead of 180.... It is 169 + 12 dollars tax. But good for my mother in a nursing home.

I have the 8 GB plan, and the stacking worked for me in February. However, after reading reports of them not stacking from this year's Black Friday deal, I got on chat with a CSR and asked the question. He said that yes, they would stack if they're exactly the same plan. So, I applied the activation code that I had purchased on Black Friday right then, and it did NOT stack this time. CS adjusted the expiration date, but it took about an hour on chat to get it worked out.

I don't think this is accurate. The ebay listing still offers "Renewal / Existing SIM" in the drop-down, just as they always have for renewals.

I made this purchase in thanksgiving, but RedPocket didnt let me to use it to renew my annual plan. I had to have the order refunded.

The eBay deals are definitely both for new and renewals. Purchased with SIM to have as backup as mine is older and moved two devices already with it..just to have if needed..though not received yet, but applied the emailed activation code to my account for renewal. Works fine.
They did have some eBay deal that was only for new customers..ATT offer of sorts...but all else are applicable.

I had considered moving to US Mobile for closely similar pricing deals earlier, but found out via rep that they tack on a $2 monthly service fee and taxes on top of the listed pricing. Red Pocket has been fine with my phones for years, customer service when needed about 1x per year is always responsive on chat. No complaints.

You need to ask ebay vendor for an activation pin which they will email you (for renewal case). Then you can use it as refill pin under "Already have an existing PIN" for your existing plan.

That's not true, you could still select renewal/existing SIM from ebay. They will email activation pin (or you may need to contact in case they sent you a physical sim). That can be used as refill pin under expiring existing plan.

Because sometimes people don't have good reception in the basement of their house or travel internationally and wifi calling works fine.

Porting from AT&T to RedPocket for my girlfriend's number has been a nightmare. RedPocket keeps saying that there is fraud protection on the AT&T account. In order to remove it, you actually have to call a different number than your typical AT&T customer service. It's a global fraud protection number...and you have to tell them to remove fraud protection, aka port protection, aka transfer protection...it's all BS. They supposedly removed it, but I got no sort of text confirmation like you should get. Will have to try again and hopefully get it fully removed this time.

I supposed it'll be worth it though in the end, $72 a month with AT&T just for 6GB of data is a complete joke.
