It's designed for people who travel and do want the dock to connect to another tv and bring their stuff with. They make a smaller case just for the switch and some games which would be geared more toward you.

If it fits the switch AND the grip handles together, the OLED should fit too.

I bought the hybrid Switch/GameCube case on Amazon last year when it was $20 and I have regrets. May just take the loss and get this one.

based on what I just looked up on Google, it looks like theyre almost identicle in size. You could always buy one, and if it doesn't fit, it's free to return.

If it's custom molded for the V2 it will not fit the OLED switch as well as you might like it to. Ask me how I know. The slight difference in size does not provide a snug enough fit and presses on the edges of the console.

I've used this very case many times to take the Switch, dock, adapter, cables, Pro Controllers, and extra JoyCons over to a friend's house. Got it a little cheaper at Target in the past ($20?), but still a good deal at $25.

That mini hub doesn't work nearly as well for some people, especially OLED. But yeah, some third-party work better than others.

Really though, for many of us, it's no big deal to bring the original dock along — like occasional travel by car — this case just makes it easier. Also for accessories which may not fit in a slim case… like a travel hub... 😬

Personally, I love this case. If I hadn't recently gotten a slim case and blown way past my Nintendo budget, I'd definitely get it.

I think the case is great. Just doesn't make sense to take the dock and the original charger when there are so many more compact options. The one I posted I personally use and never even had a hiccup. SAWC…
