I work at a local boost mobile, thought I'd help try to explain those asking about the att or T-Mobile thing. Basically we use both, the new dish/att network(boost calls it the transformed network) is not compatible with most of our phones, only the Samsung A32 and Moto G pure. We can also activate most unlocked BYO iPhones under the transformed network. Most people are still on the T-Mobile towers(expanded network), as most of our phones currently can only run on those, and they have this weird thing where only new customers can be put on the new transformed network at this time, no upgrading for existing customers. I have no idea if you order this deal online though if they are going to send you the new transformered SIM card( black sim) or the T-Mobile expanded network sim(orange sim).
dang, I paid $180 + taxes/fees (came out to around $200) for the Mint Mobile 12-month 4GB plan.this is cheaper AND 25% more data.
There is a $50 gift card for BYOD after 6 months

So you can't order an iPhone se for $250 with these plans?
Hi wannabecool,

For any phones you are interested in using with this offer, you can check here for compatibility: https://my.boostmobile.com/learn-more . Bring Your Own Device is our way of saying that customers can activate their service on the phone of their choice, given that it is compatible with our network. This gives customers the option to continue using the phone they already own or to purchase a new one.

Do unlimited calls include international calls? Or just us nationwide?
Hi xjtutopll,

For the offers listed here, Unlimited Talk & Text is for Nationwide and does not include international. If you are interested in international talk & text, we offer extra packages that you can add onto your monthly plan. For more details on these packages you can look here: https://www.boostmobile.com/inter...ervices

I saw it on the bottom of the page, but I think 6 payments have to be made by April 30 and it's too late for that now

Just avoid. They charged me $152.86 in a failed transaction. No order no anything. Once I finally got through to them this morning after endless prompts to talk to a real person, they would not even look at the issue. Just told me to dispute the charge.

Clearly they don't value customers. I guess I just avoided a year of frustrations in one shot. Don't fall for their platitudes on here.

update
BoostMobileCS followed up with me via DM. While thanking me for pointing the issues out and without offering apologies, they stated that Boost Mobile did not 'accept' the charge and it should fall off my account. This is why it is very rare for me to use my checking debit card for shopping. Otherwise they were polite and attentive in DM.

I got a 1GB plan for one of our kids last week and just bought the 5GB for a different kid.

Porting was a huge pain - had to go to a store and even that guy had problems. They have different dealer support for the old T-mobile network and the new AT&T network. Everything is in India and it sounded like they were pretty tightly constrained to stick to a script. They were totally unprepared for troubleshooting a failed port-in. I spent over an hour on it at home and the store guy spent about an hour on it as well. But it works now. It does appear to be using the AT&T tower.

For the second kid, we're going to get a new number because she uses google voice for everything. Hopefully, it will go more smoothly. I noticed that the purchase screen was a little different this week vs last week. Now it asks at purchase whether you're porting or getting a new number. Last time they didn't ask until activation. Maybe this helps them sort things out somehow. Anyway, fingers crossed!

Second this. My only experience with their customer service taught me to stay *well* away. If you ever have a problem and you are lucky enough to get someone on the phone - or god forbid have to go into a store - you are in for a real treat.

The very fact that they can't produce a working web form and handle billing issues with "just file a chargeback with your CC" should tell you all you need to know.

Does data get throttled after hitting the plan's data limit, or does internet stop functioning?

Boost mobile is the worst company ever. I purchased a return iphone for my daughter but realized I had the wrong size. I tried to return it within their 7 day window according to their policy. Took me three weeks and multiple calls totaling over 5 hours to finally get a return authorized. This company sucks ass.
