I work at a local boost mobile, thought I'd help try to explain those asking about the att or T-Mobile thing. Basically we use both, the new dish/att network(boost calls it the transformed network) is not compatible with most of our phones, only the Samsung A32 and Moto G pure. We can also activate most unlocked BYO iPhones under the transformed network. Most people are still on the T-Mobile towers(expanded network), as most of our phones currently can only run on those, and they have this weird thing where only new customers can be put on the new transformed network at this time, no upgrading for existing customers. I have no idea if you order this deal online though if they are going to send you the new transformered SIM card( black sim) or the T-Mobile expanded network sim(orange sim).

dang, I paid $180 + taxes/fees (came out to around $200) for the Mint Mobile 12-month 4GB plan.this is cheaper AND 25% more data.

Not true... mine were not activated. I think they might activated if you're getting a new number, not if you're doing a port in.

BTW, their online port in process is having issues. Activations are getting lost. You're much better off calling in.

Thanks for the info. Yes, there was a temp password email which someone here overlooked. Unfortunately the local Boost emp made and account also. I can log into both accounts. One with email(correct one, but can't activate. And the $50 monthly that local set up. We have spent more than 10 hours online, phone and at local. The promises to call back from higher support never happen. I need to get the 'orange wrongly setup' account # today and dispute charge and try to port out to another service. There apparently is no solution available for this situation at Boost.

Will being on the $1 trial mean you're no longer a new customer and won't be able to get these new customer deals? I wanted to do the trial, but think it will prevent me from getting these yearly deals.

You could always use a different email during the purchase for the yearly plan than you did for the $1 trial.

Mine also was not activated in advance. Maybe only the $1 month trial ones come pre-activated? Not sure but thought I'd share my experience too.

When I tried to checkout from iPad, I got error while checking out. Switched to laptop and was able to checkout. In fact new sim (white) received yesterday, just waiting for activation.
