If you don't want to spend $400, that's up to you but there are people that purchased this product and recommends it despite the price. I was also highly skeptical but I splurged for the hairdryer as a gift and my wife and daughters loves it. They think it dries their hair faster and make their hair smoother. Time saved and less trips to the salon is also a consideration since they spend $$$ there as well. Anyways, as I get older, I learned the value of, "Buy less but better quality."
I now use it as much as her. Thing is amazing. If ours were to break, I would happily pay full price for another one.
This thing is in another dimension compared to the $20-$40 junk hair dryers we used to have. Is it 10x to 20x better? Maybe not, but there is nothing else like it.
