If it doesn't say Made In Japan on the front, then it's made in China, like this one

Hi Wave Looks like the older models of the Zojirushi Rice Cookers don't have the "Made in Japan" above the yellow/orange start button. Unsure I could be wrong on this specific one but here's a Link [zojirushi.com] to their main website for reference.

The very new way to cook rice now is steaming, it produces much better texture if you really eat rice. I meant the got 🍚 type.

This has heating element on the bottom only. It isn't induction cooking where the entire inner plate is cooked evenly, giving you much better longevity of the rice. Cuckoo has the IH ( induction heating) models with fancier designs to match the decors.
