Did anyone watch the documentary that went behind the history of MOTU?
I had no idea that the toy was created first by Mattel..and THEN the comics were created, and then the TV series.
The MOTU line made hundreds of millions for Mattel. The She-Ra line was to get girls playing with their toys.
Really, a fascinating look at why these toys exist in the first place, and why we still want to buy them.
(I have over 20 of the original MOTU set and the castle greyskull, that I acquired for the nostalgia factor).
I love the Einstein who said that his Skeletor was "missing part of his sword"

It's a half sword that combines with He-Man's sword
Don't forget the man himself. He-Man $7.99

Yep, He-man and Barbie were Mattel (named after founders Harold "Matt" Matson and Elliot Handler). Hasbro (named after Polish brothers Herman, Hillel, and Henry Hassenfeld) used the same 80's change in laws allowing more marketing to children to create or explosively increase marketing of G.I. Joe, Transformers, My Little Pony, and some others.
