I brought this pit couple of months back at same price. It is decent in terms of firmness. However the two issues I see is - the pit itself is not fixed with legs. It means if you try to move, it can trip and will be a fire hazard. Second, the grill is very small and does not provide any lift to the wood.
Bought this about >1.5 years ago and it is entering it's 2nd year outside in the Massachusetts winter. It's still solid with probably 20+ fires in it as well.
Just my two cents if you want functional and not fancy.
Definitely a cheaper fire pit. I bought one 2 to 3 years ago and it's sat outside in Nebraska winters, uncovered, often full of ash. I just threw it away after rusting through the bottom.
That being said, I probably had 50 to 75 or more fires in ours over the past couple of years. We got a ton of use out of it, well worth the 35 bucks. Not the prettiest to look at but got the job done.
