Isn't the promo for EITHER the phone plan or the mobile broadband plan [hotspot]?

just a warning: if this is a tmobile sim, boost ties/pairs your imei to the sim and you can't put the sim in a different device. If you try, it won't work. Also my boost sim loaded about 2 dozen apps, widgets, and other junk onto it. And changed my wallpaper. And then kept sending me a notification on my phone to complete my setup, which involved questions about my race, gender, and finally asking me if I wanted to set up a bank account or something

Anyone know of a *better* offer under the broadband benefit? Something that runs on verizon's network? Ideally something that will be $30 *or less* so that when this program changes in March, the entire bill will still be covered?

edit: here's the whole list - several verizon mvnos like tracfone: https://www.fcc.gov/emergency-bro...-providers

Also, to all the haters in this thread. Get lost. If you qualify for this program, you are either very old, disabled, hungry, ill, or in some other state of existence that I would never trade $30/month to be in. This is why we pay taxes in America, to make sure there is some base level of safety net for our fellow citizens.

It will end soon. Obviously you can not read yourself. $30 is a completely different program.

What will happen to the service after March 2022 (once the benefit drops to $30)?

I know someone who has EBB mobile service for free with ATT prepaid. They told me in March it is going to change from $50 per month benefit to only 30 per month. So anyone using the EBB benefit should be either prepared to pay more out-of-pocket or lower your plan sometime in March.

Details at link below.

https://www.fcc.gov/broadbandbenefit
I have it also with AT&T Prepaid. It only works on Prepaid lines. I have the $65 Unlimited plan minus the $50 Emergency Broadband benefit plus & additional $15 off using AutoPay making it FREE!

I'm already enrolled in the ebbp program through xfinity saving $50 per month, can one enroll for this as well? Trying to read online but super confusing, anyone know??
No you would lose your Xfinity EBB. Get normal Lifeline cellphone provider if you qualify for EBB you can get it. Then you can keep EBB paying Xfinity bill.

It's not on Verizon, but I have an unlimited hotspot from "PCs for People" https://ebb.pcsrefurbished.com/ebb You have to buy the hotspot for about $50, but after that it's totally free for those who qualify for EBB, and they just announced it will still be free when EBB becomes the Affordable Connectivity Program https://www.pcsforpeople.org/2021...d-benefit/

it runs on Sprint/TMobile and has no bandwidth cap. Speeds vary depending on the area, but I usually get about 20 megabit.

This is amazing. Thank you, I'm going to look into it for my disabled M-I-L.

Hey Y'all!

If you qualify for this offer, you get 35GB/mo of data if you activate before March. In March, the data allotment will drop to 7GB/mo of data. You will still receive Unlimited Talk & Text throughout the entire time you are activated on this program.

Hope this clears some stuff up!
Just to clarify. The only thing that changes in March is the data allotment. The service is still free. One remains activated on this program as long as s/he is eligible. Right?

But, isn't this a temporary program? What happens after the government fund runs out? Will the service be deactivated then?

Safe link wireless that is Tracfone s unlimited NOT THE EBB TRACFONE PLAN! If you go with Tracfone only give you 3gb of data before march!

This is correct. Safe link gives you unlimited everything and you can choose between ATT or T-Mobile. . If you choose T-Mobile, you also get 10 GB of hotspot
