Bought one a few years back, didn't last a year. Would not recommend. Inaccurate time, wouldn't light up.

One of the reviewers explicitly praised the clock for running on batteries, as it can be moved around and there are no cords getting in the way.

Anyway - for $9, I think this clock is worth considering. Smilie It's a clock, sound machine, projector, and thermometer!

Note: requires 3 AA batteries (not included).

This is a piece of junk. The "stars" are literally a cheap film and so blurry. Everything about this is cheap and $5 max retail should be the price, but even at that, I'd stay away. I bought it to see if I can replace our spinning star night display and her clock with a single unit and I quickly put it back in the box never to touch it again. May donate to avoid return hassle.

YOU'VE BEEN WARNED, don't do it.

I want a Miami Sound Machine alarm clock that reminds my kids to get on their feet; get up and take some action.

We had this several years ago. Just like all the low-grade junk that Discovery slaps their name on, it barely worked out of the box. Spend $20-$30 and be amazed.

I would echo the recommendations to stay away. I got one for each of my kids. They run on batteries but they suck power. If you try to use the stars as a night light you might get two full nights of your are lucky, but after the first night they will already be dim.
