Our 3 year old is graduating from a crib to a real bed, so have been looking for a safe, affordable mattress and came across this deal on the Casper site. Looks like they are clearing out inventory of the older Essential model (budget level) to make room for the newer Element model.
How can foam be like "cement".
Was that a troll statement?
Still too expensive for foam mattress
I did a lot of research and for a twin, that does not have fiberglass as a fire barrier (ie all the chinese brands), this was as cheap as I could find.
We bought 2 and kept one bc the little one didn't care and can sleep anywhere. But super firm is what we got for both. I bought one on a sale like this and gave it away on FB mktplc
So for a younger kid, it might work but one of my kids hated it bc it was "too hard". Even now, 2 years later, it's still hard as a rock.
You could always add a soft topper but... at that point just buy an ortho spring mattress for $200 and put a topper on that. Then you just swap out toppers instead of the whole mattress. plus with a protector and a topper, who cares about the fiberglass? It ain't going to poke you unless you cut into the mattress.

Is that real? This site does not states the comfort level, but some other site list them as MEDIUM.
Im looking for hard rock firm mattress. The Beautyrest worldclass extra firm is not firm enough for me.

If you are suffering from back pain and stuff, you should consider a traditional Japanese futon like the ones on JLife. Ever since I switched to it, my back has thanked me for it.
You also need to remove any slats and move to some kind of CDX furniture grade plywood as a base.
