This place is a joke. They don't know what the hell they're doing and over charge you for everything. Don't buy into this BS place
I've had this for 10 years. And have used it atleast 10 times.
Replaced: axle
Replaced: wheel bearing twice
Replaced: Front ball joints
Replaced: all struts and shock
Replaced: transmission
And other stuff I can't think of off hand

It's really not bad when you replace parts yourself. Just go there tell them you Replaced parts and just want an alignment. I have never been upsold or told I need something.
Bad deal as they will try to upsell you on parts you don't need everytime you bring your vehicle in for service. Not the best reputation for these shops.

Have this on both our vehicles. For some reason whenever we go i they always do an oil change and then try to charge us for it. I just tell them i never asked for it and am not pying for it. As far as the alignments go ive never had a problem. Do it about once a year
When you drop the car, tell them you do your oil change and decline it in their paperwork. I guess you do not need us to advise you on this.

Two alignments? It applies to the vehicle, not the tires. I've had my truck since 2006. 14 years of alignments and balancing for $150. I have MS tires and take it off road so I get it done ever 6-12 months.

"A lifetime limited warranty*, meaning Firestone will realign your car whenever you need it, for free, for as long as you own the car."
You are misunderstanding my quote and point. The point is, after only 2 alignments, you've in effect paid off the policy. The rest of the alignments are gravy. I didn't say you can only do 2 alignments!

Firestone is all about a loss-leader offer to get you in the door, to sell you something "you must have" because you only have "maybe x hours of safe driving left" on your vehicle. Sit in their waiting room a few hours. Watch this happen over and over again. It's a horror story for anyone trying to get a decent deal on much needed repair. Disgusting company. Should be investigated routinely.

I'm in for a lifetime alignment.

Not to discount anyone else's experience but I've never had a problem with Firestone and this is the third vehicle I've purchased their lifetime alignment for.

Crazy, guys on here getting upsold. You know you can ask them to take you out to the floor and show you the "bad" ball joint or tie rod ends....Most of the time if they are "sloppy" you'd get a recommendation to change them only because if you do not you WILL need an alignment again(shortly after) and will continue to chew through tires.

My brother went here when i was out of town for repair.

Ive had this span across a few cars over the past 10 years.
Whatever they hand, you. Just say no. Simple. One of the best annual reoccurring deals out there. Just got a new 2022, so I'm buying.

I've had this on my past 3 cars and cannot recommend enough. 2 alignments and it's worth it.

I usually do one annually as just normal maintenance, often before a long road trip. Then anytime I do work on my car for affected parts: suspension, CV Axle, stabilizer links, ball joints, etc.

Well worth it. Anytime the steering seems a little off I just take it right in instead of being worried I'm wasting money.

Can confirm, I worked in sales/management there for a few years and have tried to take cars there since- the prices have always been outrageous but it seems like every crew I've dealt with since then has been incompetent.

Oh, BTW, this 'discount' price was the regular price in ~2016... well, it was a little cheaper ($140) and we'd often give substantial discounts to include a set of tires. The discounts varied but it generally took it down to $100 or less.

If you've ever done an alignment with a decent machine, you'll understand how overpriced this is unless you're aligning a 4x4 Dodge.

Firestone treats any pays their mechanics like absolute shit as a company policy, everything is structured around farking the labor (back shop) staff as much as possible unless they're ridiculously productive. fark that company, I'm so glad I moved onto a different industry.

If I owned a place like this I would give everybody a free alignment ..... the money I would make would be on parts that you may or not need .... point out all the rest of the repairs your car needs and so on.

My friend once went in for a free oil change and ended up with a $600 repair bill .

Another friend had a "lifetime" of free oil changes .... after a few "free" oil changes he told me he stopped going because they cost him too much ... hahaha Smilie

Most people get 4 oil changes a year, when you go twice just get your wheel alignment done. It's definitely a great deal you don't have to buy anything else they might suggest other things that need to be done doesn't mean you have to get it.
Yes the Groupon deals are great less out of pocket but if you plan on keeping your car more than 2 years then you should get this deal.

same here. all my cars have this. you can go there anytime you want or every 6 months whatever your needs are. the guys where i go are courteous and have never upsold me on anything. when i go there i just tell them i need the lifetime wheel alignment and tire rotation, all free. great savings for people who keep their cars for a long time vs one time wheel alignment at other shops/dealers for around $120.

First, I have this one all 3 of my cars. It's worth it. The problems with it are the crappy scheduling and possible wait times.

Just ignore the upsell, see a different mechanic for repairs.

Note to those with sports cars - many techs cannot drive stick shift. Also, WATCH them because they will "test drive" the vehicle afterwards. Why is this an issue? 22 year old kid who can't drive stick will burn your clutch out and scrape you bumper going for a joy ride and claim its a "test drive". If the alignment isn't correct, just come back again later when you test it or check the spec papers.
