I know this deal on the free iPhone SE for new customers has been posted, but I don't think many people know about the free upgrade for existing customers with older 3G incompatible phones.
Cricket/AT&T networks are turning off 3G service in February 2022, making many phones incompatible. If you are receiving texts from Cricket saying your phone is incompatible, you are eligible for a free iPhone SE (or Moto G Stylus 5G) upgrade. This deal will work for all lines on your account that are receiving the Cricket message about incompatible phones.
When you upgrade a line through the website you will see the iPhone price of $249.99. Click to proceed to checkout, and before placing the order you will see "3G $249.99 Targeted Offer-Mfg/Dist Coupon - $249.99", making the phone free.
I was told by the Cricket store owner that this deal should be good until Jan 6th.

I just bought my wife the Stylus 5G a couple weeks ago for $150.
Metro gives 50GB high speed data, unlimited data, Amazon prime, Google one, 15GB Tethering, all for $120 for 4 lines.
Can someone explain to me why they stay on Cricket?
One reason I think may be coverage. When I go hiking in like Zion there are places I don't get perfect reception so I don't know if that's the reason, maybe ATT had better reception in rural areas.
I was told about the free phones offer at my local store and thought about the Moto G Stylus 5G, which is a really nice phone, but for some reason it doesn't have NFC, which is useful to use with Google Pay to pay for things in other countries.
I'm going to check out T-Mobile today. They have a 4-line plan w/autopay for $140, then a Hometown Discount of 25% which brings it down to $105/mo. Also, I would get free Netflix and free (slow) data and texting in over 200 countries. T-Mobile has the Moto One 5G Ace for free, but also BOGO iPhone 13 and BOGO Samsung S21 5G, so I might get a flagship phone for once. I do like the 2-3 day battery life of the Moto, as well as the chop motion for the flashlight.
Decisions....

EDIT: Placed an order for one and tried for another with a different line and got "You already have a line or phone awaiting activation. Once you receive and activate your new phone, you can order another."
Edit: Oops, sorry! I just got off of Cricket Chat and they said you CANNOT buy a phone with account credits.
But I wonder what if I put my sim back in an LG G6 to see if I can get this deal to keep as a back up phone.
