Iran is a cesspool of terrorism and has the highest no travel rating from many countries. The Iranians who escaped will never go back to even visit for fear of arrest, prison, or death. The hardliners completely destroyed a once beautiful and free country.
Travel advice and advisories for Iran
https://travel.gc.ca ' destinations ' iran
"Avoid all travel to Iran due to the volatile security situation, the regional threat of terrorism and the possibility of arbitrary detention."
I wasn't suggesting that Americans/Canadians should fly 7000 miles to Iran for their medical treatments. Iran and the US have been at "war" with varying degress of temperature for the last few decades. Several Canadian/Iranians have indeed been detained by Iranian governement on espionage charges, so their travel advisory is on point. I am no fan of that extremist/totaliterian goverment who kills its own people(highest crime im my book), though when it comes to terrorizing the world, it's been hard to compete with uncle sam and putin and friends in the past few decades.
While Iran naturally may not be on your to-go list for your next vacation, I can go there freely as I have family there who are not connected to people in the overthrown monarchy or political activists/desenters (power to them, btw). The fact is, Iran is a popular destination for medical tourism when you look beyond the first-world bubble, to MEa/North Africa. There are other countries like Turkey, india, and UAE anong others, who compete in that market. Even some europeans(if they're not journalists/nuclear physicists/in any way connected to military) go to Iran to have their eyes/teeth/hair/... fixed as it is relatively nearby and cheap.
Americans do go to Mexico for medical-tourism. It is much cheaper than it is in the states. They also get their drugs from Canada when they can. Your specific response doesn't change the general fact that the medical industry is exploiting the american people to the fullest extent. But it was all besides the point I was trying to make, that americans are disconnected from some economic realities in the world, and that we should appreciate what we have and try to make better use of it and raise our awareness instead of resting on our laurels and getting exploited by corporations/big pharma/the goverment/...

I did a warranty claim with Smith who asked for my invoice from eyedictive and Smith replaced them after receiving a copy of the paid invoice with no hassle at all.
So YMMV regarding manufacturer warranty claims
For me, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again
I had a similar experience. The nosepiece(or whatever that's called) fell off while I was on a bike ride. They sent me a spare part quickly.
