Eyedictive is NOT an authorized reseller for any of the brands they carry so there is no manufacturer's warranty. The only contact info available for them is a PO box. Be sure to read the other eyedictive threads as part of your due diligence (some of the comments may change your mind). All eyedictive "deals" are posted by SD staff... you can decide for yourself what the means.
It wasn't until I got out of the US, that I realized how we are used to overpaying for everything. Retail prices are redicilously high in the states, with all kinds of fees factored in, like the no restocking fee returns that we're so used to. $20 is A LOT of money for a pair of glasses unless they're made of special materials. $20 is also more than a day's pay in most countries. Not saying we shouldn't spend on luxuries, just that we should count our blessings and be frugal whenever we can.
After 4 years of buying from them, it means they are legitimately a good place to buy sunglasses.

LOL, I've never heard of anyone going to Iran for their healthcare. Do you go to Cuba for dental work too?
Iran is a cesspool of terrorism and has the highest no travel rating from many countries. The Iranians who escaped will never go back to even visit for fear of arrest, prison, or death. The hardliners completely destroyed a once beautiful and free country.

Travel advice and advisories for Iran
https://travel.gc.ca ' destinations ' iran
"Avoid all travel to Iran due to the volatile security situation, the regional threat of terrorism and the possibility of arbitrary detention."
So you think what you "hear" is an accurate reflection of what is happening in the world? Well, you're not alone. There's a trillion dollar industry at work to achieve that.
I wasn't suggesting that Americans/Canadians should fly 7000 miles to Iran for their medical treatments. Iran and the US have been at "war" with varying degress of temperature for the last few decades. Several Canadian/Iranians have indeed been detained by Iranian governement on espionage charges, so their travel advisory is on point. I am no fan of that extremist/totaliterian goverment who kills its own people(highest crime im my book), though when it comes to terrorizing the world, it's been hard to compete with uncle sam and putin and friends in the past few decades.
While Iran naturally may not be on your to-go list for your next vacation, I can go there freely as I have family there who are not connected to people in the overthrown monarchy or political activists/desenters (power to them, btw). The fact is, Iran is a popular destination for medical tourism when you look beyond the first-world bubble, to MEa/North Africa. There are other countries like Turkey, india, and UAE anong others, who compete in that market. Even some europeans(if they're not journalists/nuclear physicists/in any way connected to military) go to Iran to have their eyes/teeth/hair/... fixed as it is relatively nearby and cheap.
Americans do go to Mexico for medical-tourism. It is much cheaper than it is in the states. They also get their drugs from Canada when they can. Your specific response doesn't change the general fact that the medical industry is exploiting the american people to the fullest extent. But it was all besides the point I was trying to make, that americans are disconnected from some economic realities in the world, and that we should appreciate what we have and try to make better use of it and raise our awareness instead of resting on our laurels and getting exploited by corporations/big pharma/the goverment/...

Jebus man, it would be a cold day in hell before I set foot in Iran. The brutal Khomeini destroyed the country with hundreds of thousands of well educated people having left when the Shaw was overthrown. A family I do business escaped with her daughter in the early 80's and will never go back for fear of reprisal. The daughter doesn't know her father (and doesn't want to meet him) and the mother said he will kidnap her or possibly kill her if she visits. Iran today does not treat their women well at all. He's a hard liner radical. I hear similar stories from others. Regarding Mexico: that's 99% cosmetic surgery and not things that are life threatening. I have family living there and surgeries are to be avoided. If you want to see a failed system, go visit Mayo or Cleveland Clinics and see the number of people from Canada having surgeries done because of their rationed care. There's are reason why people from all over the world come to the US for major surgeries and that's because we are at the top. I do like my discount Viagra (generic) from India though..lol.

I bought a pair of Smith sunglasses from eyedictive and the rubber on the sides wore off within a year.

I did a warranty claim with Smith who asked for my invoice from eyedictive and Smith replaced them after receiving a copy of the paid invoice with no hassle at all.

So YMMV regarding manufacturer warranty claims

For me, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again

This is not completely true. I purchased Smith sunglasses from them that had an issue - I sent my Eyedictive receipt along with pictures of the issue and Smith replaced them with no comments regarding Eyedictive not being an authorized reseller.
+1
I had a similar experience. The nosepiece(or whatever that's called) fell off while I was on a bike ride. They sent me a spare part quickly.
