But one thing that TurboAnt really needs to clear up is the rated payload capacity. This Slick Deal and the TurboAnt website says 330 lbs. But the manual that comes with this bike specifically says, 264 lbs. 264 lbs plus 52 lbs for this ebike is 316 lbs. That does not total 330 lbs.
In our case, this discrepancy doesn't matter. Not even close. But it may to others.
I was concerned about foreign transaction fee someone mentioned too, but my CC was charged only $699 and no taxes and free shipping.

As I recall, there is a video on YouTube where the guy tests the stated range. Once on pure throttle power and again on pedal assist only. Both on level ground on a flat track going in an oval. He went a bit over 30 miles on pure throttle and got 63 miles on pedal assist. There aren't that many YouTube Ranger reviews. Search. Watch them. Make up your own mind.

So I assume I need to a DOT-approved helmet. Any suggestions for buying one?

Suggestion: Any motorcycle helmet with a DOT sticker should do.
